Handpan Tuning Day

Handpan Tuning Day

You asked, and we listened!

Our latest tuning day is now complete.

If your handpan needs tuning, send us a message and we’ll add you to the waiting list for the next tuning day.

We are excited to announce a Handpan Tuning Day at Handpan Copenhagen, organised in collaboration with Sander from Telos Instruments.

At the moment, this is a rare opportunity: professional handpan tuning is not regularly available in Copenhagen. Flying in experienced makers allows our community to maintain instruments at a high musical and technical standard: something that is essential for sound quality, playability, and long-term durability.

Why tune your handpan?

Over time, handpans naturally drift out of tune due to playing, temperature changes, transport, and material fatigue. Professional tuning can:

  • Restore pitch accuracy and harmonic balance
  • Improve sustain, clarity, and dynamic response
  • Extend the lifespan of your instrument
  • Help your handpan feel inspiring and responsive again

How the day works

📍Bülowsvej 50A, 1960, Frederiksberg C (House of Awakening, Copenhagen)

⏱️ 18:30-20:00

🗓️ April 6, 2026

  • Drop-off of the instrument on 6.4 as mentioned above, pick-up 1 week later on 13.4 same time 18:30 - 20:00
  • Each instrument is assessed first; not all handpans require the same level of work
  • Tuning is done on site at Handpan Copenhagen

How to participate

Participation is by pre-registration only.

After booking your slot, please fill out the registration form and provide:

  • Your handpan's maker
  • The scale
  • Number of notes

This will help us prepare a tailored plan for your instrument and ensure things run smoothly throughout the day.

Indicative pricing (examples):

Basic touch-up tuning: 900 DKK

Full tuning (damage,...): 1,200–1,800 DKK

Final pricing depends on the condition of the instrument and will always be confirmed before work begins.

We are very happy to make services like this accessible and are grateful to Sander from Telos Instruments for travelling from Belgium to support the Danish handpan community.
